A former US Air Force worker has claimed she was abducted by reptile aliens who raped her on the moon countless times.

Niara Terela Isley, who worked as a radar tracking officer, said she was snatched by a “humanoid with a tail” and taken to a secret base on the far side of the moon.

While there, she said she was made to have sex with aliens and lift boxes.

Ms Isley told how she worked at the Tonopah Test Range, in Nevada, but said she could recall very little detail about her time there.

She claimed security guards raped her in front of an audience after she was jabbed in the neck with a mystery drug while in an underground lair.

And then she was raped on the moon, she said.

Ms Isley described the bizarre and shocking series of incidents under hypnosis.

In taped interviews with aquarianradio, she claimed she was taken into space eight to 10 times over several months when she was 25-years-old.

She said the aliens put her to work, having her operate electronic machinery to excavate the darkest parts of the moon.

Describing how she was used for sex almost every night she was on the moon, she said she was regularly passed between the reptilians.

In addition, she said “grey aliens” were present, helping with the work, as well as human “personnel” who were also forced to help the reptilians do their bidding on the moon.

After the abductions, she said she couldn’t remember much of what had happened, including aspects of her work, leading her to think her memory had been wiped.

The incidents stopped in 1980, she said.

She sought hypnosis in an attempt to fill the holes in her memory and it helped her uncover more details about the abuse she experienced on the moon.

Describing her abductor, she said: “He was humanoid and did have a tail.”

She said he had yellow eyes with vertical slit pupils.

On the “dark side” of the Moon, she said: “There was a lot of sexual abuse.”

She also said there was excavation work to expand the “military base”.

It was then that she had to carry out manual labour including “moving boxes”.

Ms Isley, a mum-of-one who now lives in Colorado, said: “At night I wasn’t allowed to sleep and was passed around for more sex.

“I was scared. I knew I had to get back to my daughter so I was pretty compliant. I just didn’t want to do anything that would get me killed.”

Many alien conspiracy theories suggest that the US government is in on abductions, often helping “the greys” do the work.

Theorists claim that is why officials have not fully investigated claims of their own employees and former staff.

In the Northern hemisphere’s sky, hovering above the Milky Way, there are two constellations—Cygnus the swan, her wings outstretched in full flight, and Lyra, the harp that accompanied poetry in ancient Greece, from which we take our word “lyric.”Between these constellations sits an unusual star, invisible to the naked eye, but visible to the Kepler Space Telescope, which stared at it for more than four years, beginning in 2009.

“We’d never seen anything like this star,” says Tabetha Boyajian, a postdoc at Yale. “It was really weird. We thought it might be bad data or movement on the spacecraft, but everything checked out.”

Kepler was looking for tiny dips in the light emitted by this star. Indeed, it was looking for these dips in more than 150,000 stars, simultaneously, because these dips are often shadows cast by transiting planets. Especially when they repeat, periodically, as you’d expect if they were caused by orbiting objects.

The Kepler Space Telescope collected a great deal of light from all of those stars it watched. So much light that Kepler’s science team couldn’t process it all with algorithms. They needed the human eye, and human cognition, which remains unsurpassed in certain sorts of pattern recognition. Kepler’s astronomers decided to found Planet Hunters, a program that asked “citizen scientists” to examine light patterns emitted by the stars, from the comfort of their own homes.In 2011, several citizen scientists flagged one particular star as “interesting” and “bizarre.” The star was emitting a light pattern that looked stranger than any of the others Kepler was watching.The light pattern suggests there is a big mess of matter circling the star, in tight formation. That would be expected if the star were young. When our solar system first formed, four and a half billion years ago, a messy disk of dust and debris surrounded the sun, before gravity organized it into planets, and rings of rock and ice.But this unusual star isn’t young. If it were young, it would be surrounded by dust that would give off extra infrared light. There doesn’t seem to be an excess of infrared light around this star.

It appears to be mature.

And yet, there is this mess of objects circling it. A mess big enough to block a substantial number of photons that would have otherwise beamed into the tube of the Kepler Space Telescope. If blind nature deposited this mess around the star, it must have done so recently. Otherwise, it would be gone by now. Gravity would have consolidated it, or it would have been sucked into the star and swallowed, after a brief fiery splash.

Boyajian, the Yale Postdoc who oversees Planet Hunters, recently published a paper describing the star’s bizarre light pattern. Several of the citizen scientists are named as co-authors. The paper explores a number of scenarios that might explain the pattern—instrument defects; the shrapnel from an asteroid belt pileup; an impact of planetary scale, like the one that created our moon.

The paper finds each explanation wanting, save for one. If another star had passed through the unusual star’s system, it could have yanked a sea of comets inward. Provided there were enough of them, the comets could have made the dimming pattern.But that would be an extraordinary coincidence, if that happened so recently, only a few millennia before humans developed the tech to loft a telescope into space. That’s a narrow band of time, cosmically speaking.

And yet, the explanation has to be rare or coincidental. After all, this light pattern doesn’t show up anywhere else, across 150,000 stars. We know that somethingstrange is going on out there.

When I spoke to Boyajian on the phone, she explained that her recent paper only reviews “natural” scenarios. “But,” she said, there were “other scenarios” she was considering.

Jason Wright, an astronomer from Penn State University, is set to publish an alternative interpretation of the light pattern. SETI researchers have long suggested that we might be able to detect distant extraterrestrial civilizations, by looking for enormous technological artifacts orbiting other stars. Wright and his co-authors say the unusual star’s light pattern is consistent with a “swarm of megastructures,” perhaps stellar-light collectors, technology designed to catch energy from the star.

“When [Boyajian] showed me the data, I was fascinated by how crazy it looked,” Wright told me. “Aliens should always be the very last hypothesis you consider, but this looked like something you would expect an alien civilization to build.”

Boyajian is now working with Wright and Andrew Siemion, the Director of the SETI Research Center at the University of California, Berkeley. The three of them are writing up a proposal. They want to point a massive radio dish at the unusual star, to see if it emits radio waves at frequencies associated with technological activity.

If they see a sizable amount of radio waves, they’ll follow up with the Very Large Array (VLA) in New Mexico, which may be able to say whether the radio waves were emitted by a technological source, like those that waft out into the universe from Earth’s network of radio stations.

Assuming all goes well, the first observation would take place in January, with the follow-up coming next fall. If things go really well, the follow-up could happen sooner. “If we saw something exciting, we could ask the director for special allotted time on the VLA,” Wright told me. “And in that case, we’d be asking to go on right away.”

In the meantime, Boyajian, Siemion, Wright, the citizen scientists, and the rest of us, will have to content ourselves with longing looks at the sky, aimed between the swan and the lyre, where maybe, just maybe, someone is looking back, and seeing the sun dim ever so slightly, every 365 days.

Astronomen haben ungewöhnlich starke Helligkeitsschwankungen im Licht eines Sternes gemessen. Schon wird über ein gigantisches Bauprojekt Außerirdischer spekuliert.

Wenn Astronomen etwas Unerwartetes messen, gibt es immer ein paar Leute, die Aliens am Werke sehen.

Nun haben Forscher der Yale University eine ungewöhnliche Entdeckung gemacht und bringen sogar selbst – wenn auch extrem vorsichtig – Außerirdische ins Spiel. Haben sie eine gigantische Anlage einer fernen Zivilisation beobachtet? Wohl eher nicht, doch spannend ist die Messung allemal.

Die Daten stammen vom Weltraumteleskop Kepler. Das durchforstete zwischen 2009 und 2013 Sterne im All auf der Suche nach Exoplaneten, also nach Planeten außerhalb unseres Sonnensystems. Diese zeigen sich nicht direkt, da sie selbst kein Licht ausstrahlen, jedoch indirekt: Schieben sie sich zwischen ihren Stern und das Teleskop, schwächen sie das Licht. Kepler suchte daher nach minimalen Helligkeitsschwankungen im Licht der Sterne.

Ein Fünftel weniger Licht

Solche Helligkeitsschwankungen entdeckte Kepler auch bei einem Stern, der den sperrigen Namen KIC 8462852 erhielt.

Der steht am Firmament in der Nähe des Sternbildes Schwan, ist 1500 Lichtjahre von der Erde entfernt und mit dem bloßen Auge nicht sichtbar. Die gemessenen Schwankungen waren allerdings ganz ungewöhnlich, denn sie traten unregelmäßig auf. Kepler registrierte einige davon zwischen 2009 und 2013. Zudem sind sie außergewöhnlich stark: Einmal sank die Helligkeit um 15 Prozent, ein anderes Mal sogar um 22 Prozent.

“Wir haben noch nie einen Stern wie diesen gesehen”, sagte die Astronomin Tabetha Boyajian dem Magazin “The Atlantic”. “Es war wirklich merkwürdig.” Exoplaneten könnten dies nicht verursachen, auch Messfehler schlossen die Forscher aus.

Boyajian und ihre Kollegen sammelten verschiedene Thesen und bewerteten sie. Keine konnte die Messungen vollständigen erklären. Am wahrscheinlichsten erscheint ihnen eine Gruppe von Kometen als Ursache. Diese könnten aus einer Oortschen Wolke stammen, das ist eine Kometenwolke, die um viele Sterne vermutet wird, auch um KIC 8462852.

Ein anderer Stern könnte mit seiner Schwerkraft vor nicht allzu langer Zeit diese Eiskometen aus ihrer Bahn geworfen haben, sodass sie auf KIC 8462852 zurasten, auftauten und zerbrachen; ihre Staubwolken hätten dann den Stern verdunkelt. Tatsächlich konnten die Forscher in der Nähe von KIC 8462852 einen zusätzlichen Stern beobachten. Doch das Phänomen gilt als selten und entspricht auch nicht ganz der Messung.

Riesige Solarzellen im Orbit?

In ihrer Studie diskutierte Boyajian nur natürliche Ursachen. Doch sie schickte die Messdaten auch Jason Wright von der Penn State University,wie der Astronomie Blog Bad Astronomy berichtet. Wright erforscht unter anderem, wie man im Licht der Sterne Hinweise auf fremde Zivilisationen finden kann. Und er stellt eine andere Hypothese auf: Die Forscher könnten ein gigantisches Bauprojekt einer hoch entwickelten Zivilisation entdeckt haben.

Die Theorie geht auf den Physiker Freeman Dyson zurück. Dieser überlegte in den Sechzigerjahren, wie die Menschen ihren stetig steigenden Energiehunger stillen könnten. Er schlug riesige Solarzellen im Weltraum vor, die das Licht der Sonne umfassend auffangen. Wright spekuliert, dass KIC 8462852 von gigantischen Sonnenkollektoren verdunkelt sein könnte, die um den Stern kreisen.

Seit 2013, als Kepler ausfiel, wurde der ungewöhnliche Stern nicht mehr beobachtet. Wright möchte ihn nun mit einem Radioteleskop untersuchen: Sollten dort tatsächlich Außerirdische sein, so könnte man ihre Kommunikation mithören.

Zwar glaubt er nicht an einen Erfolg, doch die Messung ist auch nicht sehr aufwendig. Boyajian wiederum möchte nach Hinweisen suchen, die die Kometenthese stützt. Hypothesen lassen sich schließlich schnell aufstellen, sie zu beweisen ist aber viel mühseliger.
